“The Turin intellectual Carlo Levi was sent into exile by Mussolini’s fascists in the 1930s to the Italian south, to Lucania, for his left-liberal political work. [...] With the contemporary means of indie rock, Buco set to music the ancient fairy tales and legends of Sicily, passed down to singer/guitarist Daniel Kluge from childhood by his Italian mother.
